Rosecrest Farm, where dreams are born

Rosecrest Farm, nestled on prime Bluegrass land just outside Paris, KY, is a Thoroughbred nursery owned and operated by Charles and Lyra Miller since 2005.

Since the 1980’s, the Millers followed the Thoroughbred industry, were regular attendees at the Keeneland Sales each year, and avid racegoers from their home in Cincinnati. When presented with the opportunity to buy 150 acres surrounded by Claiborne Farm, Cane Ridge Cattle, and historic Auvergne….well, the chance to make dreams a reality was too great to turn down.

Rosecrest is home to 14 mares, and the resulting number of foals and yearlings, some owned by the Millers and some by their year-round boarding clients. Two retired racehorses live in a front field and the small paddocks near a back barn are perfect for the occasional horse in training on a layup from the track.

The Millers began racing in 2008 and count their first winner Big Boy Billy (a homebred 2006 g. by Cactus Ridge) as their biggest thrill so far. They have a handful of horses in training on the Midwest circuit with two trainers.
